Contributing to the international law knowledge bank
ICFAP has assembled a broad and unique group of lawyers with a background in international, environmental and animal law.
Our aim is to fill the gap in the current landscape by providing pro bono international and comparative legal input into international and domestic initiatives which advance the cause of animal well-being.
In that regard, ICFAP has:
- Been admitted and provided input as an accredited Annex (e) stakeholder for input into the drafting process of the WHO Pandemic Instrument
- Provided input into the animal welfare provisions of the UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement
- Provided input into the animal welfare provisions of the UK-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement
- Undertaken a comparative law analysis of prohibitions and restrictions on live animal maritime transport for slaughter and compatibility with GATT for a South American congresswoman
ICFAP is available to provide pro bono assistance to NGOs, academic institutions, and governments through comparative law analysis and international law advice for all projects that advance the cause of animal wellbeing.
If you would like ICFAP to assist with regard to your project please contact us at contact@icfap.org, and head your mail “Pro bono assistance request”.
Insofar as international law is observed, it provides us with stability and order and with a means of predicting the behavior of those with whom we have reciprocal legal obligations.J. William Fulbright
